Can love transcend time?

When not actively involved with village life, the noted spiritual medium Jocasta Bradman is busy with her paranormal investigations, assisted by two of her colleagues from the famous Pluckley Psychic Historical Society.

The year is 1932, and Jocasta is called to Oakwood Hall in Hythe, England, a 15th-century half-timbered yeoman's house, which has undergone some recent renovations. It is the home of Venetia Briscombe, who lives there alone following the recent death of her father. Since the renovations were completed, she has begun to hear a man’s voice calling out desperately for Anastasia, and the house has taken on an overwhelming feeling of longing, which has become stifling.

In 1817, in a world of the London elite where appearance and reputation are everything, the headstrong Anastasia Wentworth is being forced into an advantageous marriage with the dashing Captain Hartwood, a celebrated war hero, but she only has eyes for the handsome William Ellys of Oakwood Hall.

As Jocasta’s investigation deepens, she uncovers a Regency romance trapped in a moment in time requiring her unique skills and intervention.
